Hanging in there ... crookedly!

While walking through Dillard's department store the other day I noticed several racks of men's shirts where the first shirt was hung in this strange angle.

After straining my neck trying to figure out what kind of shirt this was, I asked a clerk why they hung shirts in this manner. She didn't know but said she thought that's the way "they" did things in Europe.

Really?

On the other hand, maybe the hanger person was drunk!  :)

  1. The Europe excuse always works when you have no idea what's going on.

  2. I have never heard of this being done in Europe, this is a first for me, and, quite frankly, it looks silly! LOL! No wonder you were cricking your neck trying to see this shirt, Lowell. LOL! Great capture. :)

  3. Lowell, the weird display angle worked just the way the designer hoped. It got you to look more closely at the shirt and spend time thinking about it. Did you buy one? It is not a bad looking shirt.

Thanks for your comment about my obsession with automobiles. As I was growing up my Dad was a car dealer, but for him cars were a commodity item. He raced cars before my parents married. I didn't get to have my first car until I was a Sophomore in college. That all lead me to a lifetime of hobby and interest.

  6. Strange but the sales person could have come up with a better one!

  9. hmmm.... your guess sounds right. Or, since it is crooked, does it have a Trump label? (Seriously, I miss Dillard's -- there aren't any in the PNW.)

  10. Dear Lowell - I’ve never seen such a way of hanging a shirt, but the clerk’s answer is funnier. I guess it perhaps to let the customer see the back side of the cuffs of the shirt, as you may already guess.

  16. Ha! That's a good one. Next time I'm in Europe I'll have to verify this, but I think that clerk may have been making excuses for someone.
