Fireplug in the Woods
Update: Late news this evening describes how a Columbine-style mass murder attack, which was planned at The Villages Charter Middle School in The Villages, has been derailed. Two teens have been arrested and are in custody and have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder.
A photo of the school and brief summary has been posted on our The Villages blog HERE.
The full story can be found in the Orlando Sentinel HERE.

ReplyDeleteReading your update: I wonder where this world is going.. horrible!
Gosh! 13 and 14 years old! What on earth would incite such young boys to even think about something like that! Good thing the authorities were on the ball hey Lowell!
ReplyDeleteI like what you've done with the shot, Lowell. I'm shaking my head about the story.
ReplyDeleteLove your photo!
ReplyDeleteYikes what a close call that was. I'm glad the authorities took the rumor seriously and took action.
Nice colours, Lowell. Should be a crackdown on young white males who do a lot of these type shootings.
ReplyDeleteYou asked what "Off Licence" means. It means a shop licensed to sell alcoholic beverages for consumption off the premises, as opposed to a bar or public house which is licensed for consumption at the point of sale.
Re the update: the world is going crazy.
ReplyDeleteOh My Stars! (News)... thank goodness it was quelched before it could have been a horrible situation.
ReplyDeleteCute fireplug,, all it needs now is a 'smiliey face'... lol!
Good picture, but oh my gosh the horror of what almost happened. Dear Lord.
ReplyDeleteI read about that incident and it's so scary! I worry about my grandkids when they are at school every day and also my daughter, who is a high school band teacher.
