The Mobile Barber

Living in the 21st century, we share an affinity for convenience. Thus we have convenience stores/gas stations where we are able to complete several shopping tasks at one time. We have drive-through restaurants and banks and pharmacies and even churches. We don't like waiting in line and when we want something, we want it "now!"

One of the latest attempts to make satisfying our needs more convenient is this mobile barber. And I can see where a mobile barber would be of great value to a busy executive or harried housewife. Short on time but your hair looks like an unkempt Maltese puppy? Give the mobile barber a call. He or she will soon be at your doorstep or in your office with scissors and hair dryer in hand ready to make you look presentable enough to attend the Oscars!

That would be handy for the elderly who might have a hard time getting around. I wonder if the barber will clean up the hair mess after he or she is done. That would be a plus and while your at it, go ahead and vacuum the whole house, if you would, please.

I've not run into one of these here but I'm willing to bet they exist. It's a great concept especially for those stay at home types. That wouldn't be me. I enjoy getting out and about.

Lowell, first of all, this mobile barber sounds like a great idea, especially for busy people! And there is no need to apologize, I am glad that you will continue to blog here on Blogger, and I do love your posts and photos! I hope your weekend is going well. Thank you so much for all you share and for letting us know what is happening. :)

It's been a long time since I've been in a barber shop!

Guess I wouldn't need their services, I shave my head. We have a mobile bank here and it comes on Wednesdays for all your banking services if you are a customer to that particular bank and I'm not. Ours is in an actual building.

Don't think we have any mobile barbers around here. Apparently this one is equipped to go off road to give haircuts.

I think it's a good idea for busy people. Probably low overhead for the barber too!

Oh and don't worry one bit about moving around with your posts Lowell. I for one will find you wherever you are!

I could often use a mobile hairdresser!

I'm so far behind I didn't even know you'd gone away. I'll keep that Mobile Barber in mind for the afternoon before I plan to walk the Red Carpet. Seriously, the really good reason I can see for this business service is for shut-ins who can't go out very often. Even in Care Facilities, the beauticians and barbers are welcomed by patients.

Well, I didn't notice that you had gone anywhere, but anyway, I'm glad to see you back, if that makes sense!!
Mobile barber? Do they cut your hair in the Barber's car????

I read about something like this in a magazine. Apparently there are also mobile makeup artists and, of course, masseuses. I just wish some motherly fairy godmother would show up at my front door, say "There, there, dear. Leave it to me." and come in and make dinner. A really nice one.

Speaking of Mumbai I can say that the basic barber (not the fancy one) has been providing home services since a long time. He would visit with his little tin box containing the tools of his profession and give you a basic haircut/shave and move on!

I'll bet the mobile barber can tell some interesting stories. I wonder if anyone ever called from work (as in "boss says I can't work until I get a haircut").

Resolving blog hosting issues can be a nightmare. So far, give or take a few glitches, type pad has worked out OK for us.

It's such a good idea for those who can't get out and about.. but I must admit I enjoy the going to the hairdresser experience too much.. the coffee, the time to read my book uninterrupted, no phone calls.. couldn't give up that six weekly pleasure Lowell 😀😀
