A "Must Have"

This was found in one of our upscale department stores. The newest thing in "fashion," indeed a "must have" - a khaki suit - in one case with torn jeans. It took me awhile to get the shot because I had to stop laughing!

Sometimes I'm convinced there is no hope for the human race!

  2. We see young people wearing torn jeans here, but I haven't seen it like this as a suit! Weird..

  4. Given that I generally wear black... that is a hideous colour for guys to wear!

  5. I just love it when retailers dictate what I MUST have.

  6. I kinda like torn jeans, but I wouldn't buy a pair myself. I can't remember the last time I wore yellow.

  9. The untucked shirt and torn jeans are just a fad with younger people. We had our own in the past which appeared just as crazy to others. However, I do agree with all of the above comments!

  11. Oh, is poverty coming back? My mom repaired clothes as best she could but my big brother was very tall, so nothing fit well.

  12. Oh my gosh, I had almost the same thought yesterday when I went shopping. I actually saw a T-shirt at Nordstrom's that had those tiny little holes all over it. You know the kind you get from age and from wearing and washing thousands of times. I stood there looking at it and thinking of what my mother would say if she saw it hanging there with a price tag of $40.00. I do remember the time when jeans had to be clean and pressed. A time when underwear should never show and sequins were only for the evening. It seems that now everyone wants to look poor but they certainly don't want to be poor. I guess if you pay $40.00 for a T-shirt full of holes, you can show those poor people just how rich you are.
Sorry, I seem to have gone off on a bit of tangent there.

  16. Weird combination of clothing. I guess the shop suggests the torn jeans, shirt, and the yellow three-piece suit, so that you can mix and match clothing like the mannequins. I still have hope for human race as long as there are people who laugh at this.
