The other day on another blog, I saw photos of red ibises. I had not seen such before. This is a white ibis with red beak and legs. It was quite friendly. I think he/she just wanted me to get a good look.
I didn't realise there were so many different types of Ibis Lowell.. the Ibis we see here in Perth are white with black beaks and legs, not so gloriously red as yours are here!
I've never been able to get that close to one. What a great shot!
ReplyDeleteA beautiful bird, if a bit odd.
ReplyDeleteAwwww....so glad he was friendly, Lowell. Beautiful capture!
ReplyDeleteIf you had a beak and legs as pretty as this bird you'd probably want to step in front of a camera, too. (Not that you aren't a vision yourself...)
ReplyDeleteWhat a brilliant colour of RED.
ReplyDeleteA fence sitter! Beautifully captured!
ReplyDeleteWow what a fantastic beak
ReplyDeleteGosh it's beautiful, Lowell.
ReplyDeleteA great shot. Good thing she was friendly. There is so much wildlife and birdlife to see in Florida. Sign me up!

Matching beak and legs, very fashionable in the ibis world.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, Lowell, but where is the second leg? :)
