Citrus and Baby Gators

A typical scene at most exit/entrances along Florida's Interstate highways.

  1. I have been eating more oranges than usual lately and hope that the supply never ends. The oranges in the photo appeal to me more than 'gators. Are they really there in that area as an attraction?

  2. Makes me think of the fresh oranges a friend of my dad's use to send to us from Florida when I was small.

  3. I do love fresh oranges! I have had them in Florida, and last week I was picking fresh grapefruit off the tree in Arizona.

  5. Um, am I being a downer if I wonder what the heck these people are doing with live baby gators?

  6. Yes I agree. A typical Florida scene... but not boring to a typical tourist like me.

  7. With all the sun that must be tasty oranges!

  8. Pat asks a good question! The oranges would tempt me.

  9. I thought they stopped selling baby gators because they grow up to become problems, to say nothing of the attack on wild gator populations. Ripe Florida oranges have always been a treat.

  11. Yep. It's kind of a wonder that so many people come anyway. And stay. (Us included)....
