A great choice for B&W. I love the ghost signs!
The place sounds very interesting. According to its website, it has a 40-foot bar lit with gas lamps.
Would that be Long John Silver? If so, I'd advise him that the missing rum can be tracked down to my idiot-ex-brother-in-law.
Now that looks like a fun place!
That is a crusty old pirate. Your b&w photo is great. Looks like it could have been taken many decades ago.
He does look a bit crusty. We have an establishment here called the Palace Saloon, but it's not nearly as old as this one!
Aye, aye he's a fearsome old guardian of the pub. Always love to see the ghost signs.P.s. comments showing now ☺☺
Looks like a fun place to visit.
I absolutely love these photos, Lowell!
Adore pirate stories. One I particularly enjoy is Pierre Laffite in New Orleans.
A pirate, a ghost sign for a saloon, and a ghost sign for Coca Cola. Something seems a little contradictory here, doesn't it?
Looks interesting how old is it?
The pirate looks angry but I'm sure he would be happy if you stepped inside.
Gosto deste bar.Um abraço e boa semana.AndarilharDedais de Francisco e Idalisa Livros-Autografados
Gotta find out where Amelia Island is .... off to Google.
What a contrast between the pub you show here and the pub I used Tuesday in Coventry :).
Tenéis a los piratas de Caribe Lowell 😉Un abrazo.
