Before homes can be constructed, however, there's a great deal of ground work to be done ("ground work" - get it?)
Anyway, they're digging, they're laying pipe, they're rearranging the dirt, and they're working hard because Stone Creek is selling homes about as fast as they can be built.
Wow! Big business down your way.
ReplyDeleteDidn't you used to live in Stone Creek?
But you are happier now?
YES!!

A lot of work for these guys, while it lasts.
ReplyDeleteI guess those 55+ communities are popular. Lots of people will follow the lead and head down your way to enjoy the heat.
ReplyDeleteFlorida continues to grow. Will the land hold up or will it sink into the sea from the added weight.
ReplyDeleteMy littlest grandson would love to watch all of this digging! He gets so excited when he sees those big machines.
ReplyDeleteJust read your comment and "far right" lane is exactly what that sign should say!
ReplyDeleteLots of work being done here, Lowell! Here in Montreal, I keep seeing condominiums being built everywhere I turn, and I prefer to see homes as opposed to condos.
ReplyDeleteThat second shot looks like a big sinkhole. It looks like the groundwork is digging through a lot of sand.
ReplyDeleteAnd landscapes will change....
ReplyDeleteI agree Lois.
Um novo empreendimento que vai nascer.

This is serious work! I guess many people are attracted to live there because of the Florida sun.
ReplyDeleteGood. More places for Canadians to spend the winter.

Amazing that there's such demand for communities like this. I like our way of life where we have a mix of ages. But it is interesting to see the work being done.
ReplyDeleteThe Dell Webb company has been building communities for so long, my guess is that they know what they are doing. Quite a project.
ReplyDeleteReferring back to your comment on my blog - I wonder if any of those 'Mrs Blackbird' lookalikes will be interested in moving here. I did laugh at your comment - no surprise :).
Great documentary/phoyographs.
ReplyDeleteGood groundwork is the key to successful development.. listen to me, you'd think I know what I'm talking about 😀😀 Happy weekend Lowell.
ReplyDeleteThat Del Webb has certainly got a good thing going doesn't he?
ReplyDeleteMan can never get enough! Dig, fill, build, repeat.
ReplyDeleteStone Creek looks like a popular residential area. My youngest grandson will be so excited watching such a big working vehicle.
