I think Murphy is one of those dogs trained to know when a person is going to have a diabetic attack. Our niece has one and the dog has saved her life a number of times. Or he could be some other type of service dog.
Service dogs can help in so many ways: eyes, ears, alerts for any number of medical conditions (including seizures). These dogs are truly leaders of the pack when it comes to the Man's Best Friend category.
Whatever his service category is, he's got a job and he's filling a need. Dogs love having a job, they love being needed. You know I have a soft spot for dogs, Lowell!
Hey Lowell, me again. I thought I'd answer your question about my dad and his tiger. My dad was always a huge softy when it came to animals but, later in his life he became even more so. I just think there was something about the look of that stuffed animal that spoke to him so he had to have it.
Murphy looks quite peaceful.
