Publix Supermarket

On the right is the fish, meat and dairy aisle at our local Publix Supermarket. It was a slow day - not many people shopping.

  1. A chain we do not have here, but it reminds me of one particular grocery chain we do have.

  2. I haven't been in a grocery store that big in years. I'm used to small stores where you are in and out within minutes. I guess it would overwhelm me to walk in that store. So many choices, don't need them to satisfy me.
I bet this would look very different on a Saturday morning. :)

  5. So...the morning after Thanksgiving when nobody could bear to think about food and instead was at home thinking about Christmas shopping?

  7. When we were in the States a few years ago we were amazed by the size of supermarkets. This one must be huge too, and lots to choose from :)

  9. Best grocery store ever! You must have been there on a weekday morning.

  11. My parents had a house in Florida, and I fondly remember shopping in a Publix Supermarket. Lowell, I envy you.

  14. I’d be baffled where to go for the things I want in such a spacious supermarket. Even if it is a slow day, to capture the scene without customers seems almost impossible. You’d have been well prepared and helped by the Fortune.
