Fox Squirrel Looking at You!

The Fox Squirrel is more elongated than a regular squirrel. It has a fine bushy tail. Generally, its colors are white and black or a brownish color and white. When it runs it looks like a fox, especially when seen from a distance. In my experience, Fox Squirrels are not quite as skittish around humans as are other varieties of squirrel and will often approach looking for a handout.

  10. Lowell, fine wildlife photo. You caught this fox squirrel just right. We do not have this variety of squirrel around here, so I am happy to see one. Your assumption on my blog today is correct, but the car is not new. I've had it for years.

  16. Fox squirrel is new to me. The unique face and interesting pose made me wonder if it was a primate, but now I know it a squirrel. Wish you and your family a glorious May, Lowell.
