Ocala's one and only Target store

While Ocala is "blessed" with three Walmart stores, we have only one Target. It is the really big one, though, so that ought to count for something.

  1. Yikes! It's a big box, alright (THREE Walmarts?). At least the red ball and the yellow brick road provide some interest. The green car in Astoria turns out to be a Deuce Coup - 1932 Model B hotrod. Anonymous posted the name and I checked with Google images. I would not have had a clue :) But it matched.

  2. Hey, that's so interestingly composed, Jacob! Love the reds! Does this mean many people use this Target since it's the only one in town?

Thanks for visiting Norwich Daily Photo and leaving your comment. Come back tomorrow!

  3. This is a really beautiful shot, it has everything: colours, geometry, diagonals... And you got all of this out a Target store. One of my favourite Ocala shots!

  5. Whatever is the quantity of Target stores in your city, this one provided the subject for a great photograph :)

    I love the perspective.

  6. Wow this store is huge indeed!I bet it can be crowded on weekends!
I have a kind of phobia to crowded places!Anyway it is very cool to find several stuffs inside one place and you don't need to run and run...
    Beautiful red balls!

  9. It's funny how you don;t really think about things like this. Here in Minneapolis, Target is almost as common as the local pharmacy or grocery store. If you live in a town somewhere in the Twin Cities suburbs and you city of residence has more than 20,000 people in it, chances are you have a Target. While we have Walmart around too.... it is no where near as prevalent.

I really like the shot composition on this.

  10. Oh la la .. Tar-jet ... does it have the escalator for shopping carts? That fascinated my sister the last time we were in the one down in Deerfield Beach.

  11. @ Antjas - It's funny you should mention the big red balls...I don't remember them when we first moved here...I'm not sure what they are for, other than decoration. But I kinda like 'em.

  20. My kids always have to stop and try to jump over the red balls or climb up on them. I supposed it keeps cars from driving right on into the store, like one did last year into our closest Wal-Mart.

  21. @ Lisa - I thought the balls were to keep cars from driving into the store, too (like you, we have someone who does it somewhere every once in a while!)...but they are spaced too far...I think it might be to keep cars from parking on the sidewalk while waiting to pick up people...
