The Sanctuary, located just east of Ocala on Highway 27, is a rehab center for horses, providing a plethora (I love that word) of treatments for ailing equines. The center also provides therapy for hurting canines.
It is a rather incredible operation and you can read all about it here.
Is that a Misery Synod sanctuary?!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful place, and man, is it well groomed.
ReplyDelete@ Safe Leif - Well, not really, but I suppose horses who have been hurt by Misery Synod riders could get rehabbed here...
ReplyDeleteI like that sky! Looks like a happy place for horses...and I agree, plethora is a great word!
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful place! I'm so glad to see this. Thanks for showing it Jacob.
ReplyDeleteThere is pet insurance for vet visits. What we do for our animals!
ReplyDeletewhat a wonderful place!
ReplyDeleteI think if I were ill, I would get well here, too. I used 'plethora' the other day, too, right here!
ReplyDeleteAnd you have been using that word in excess (which is what that word means).
ReplyDeleteNeat place and nice to have someone caring for our injured and mistreated animals. MB
I was mislead by the word rehab... A gorgeous place to feel better!
ReplyDeleteNice shot !! Beautiful Grass Field !!
ReplyDeleteA rehab for horses. That's nice.
ReplyDeleteNice looking sanctuary! Actually very well maintained.
ReplyDeleteThere should be a plethora of praise for such establishments. And for the photographers who make us aware of them.
ReplyDeleteIt's so good to know that such places exist. For horses and for donkeys, dogs, cats too.
ReplyDeleteIf I were a horse, I'd love to go there. And, yes, plethora is a cool word.
ReplyDeleteThese places really do a lot of good work.
ReplyDeleteThat looks and sounds like a wonderful place.
ReplyDeleteVery interesting Jacob!
ReplyDeleteAnd your picture is perfect!

@ VP - Sorry, I should have written out the whole word, "rehabilitation." This is quite an operation and you are looking at just a portion of it: But very useful and important as the raising of race horses (and other types of horses) is central to Ocala's economy and identity.
ReplyDeleteThat's nice. Glad to see our friends are being well-taken care of!
ReplyDelete@ Bibi - I remember your "plethora," and that's one reason I used it again. Pretty soon we'll have a plethora of plethoras!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful place. I'm sure they do wonderful things here.
ReplyDeleteWonderful place
ReplyDeleteNow THIS is what I was talking about when I pointed to Ocala as the place for equines. Luxury living for the odd-toed ungulates.
ReplyDeleteYou're just a vast plethora of knowledge.
I went to their website and it is impressive!
ReplyDeleteWhat a fantastic place. I love hearing about places that take care of animals like this. Great Picture.... Great place.....
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing it.
Looks like a great place for them & I love that word, too! hehehe
ReplyDeleteOh wow, wish we had such nice rehab places for humans. It's gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteI suppose this would be the right place for the horse with asthma that I met the other day, remember? It could need a rehab.
