This place should be called Divine Negligence! It is one of the worst "thrift" shops I've ever seen. It's crowded, messy and dirty. Many of the items for sale should have been thrown in the trash years ago. Still, there were people shopping there. Maybe they saw something I didn't.
That's some halo around the photo, ha ha.
ReplyDeleteOh Jacob, I'll keep my comment to myself but I'm sure you get the gist of it...
ReplyDeleteReminds me of your July 25th post. I'm such a thrift shop junkie (no pun intended), I'd go in anyway.
ReplyDeleteOne man's meat is another man's poison. Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteI have nothing to say---well maybe, oh never mind. MB
ReplyDeleteI was going to say something similar to Birdman using "junk" instead of meat! I'm trying to catch up on my blogging after a stressful week. I like that blue bike in your Tuesday post!
ReplyDeleteInteresting...
ReplyDeleteThe name would have kept me away...
ReplyDeleteStrange. I guess some people's trash is still other people's trash. :)
ReplyDeleteIt must be the name that is bringing more people in :D
ReplyDeleteHmmmm. Divine Providence is selling trash. Sounds like very BAD advertising to me.
ReplyDeleteDivine Providence has a lot of amazing finds, you have to really search, I have found amazing furniture pieces from the fifties, nice pyrex and ovenware, great Christmas decorations. The clothing has to be searched thoroughly, I found a blouse with a tag on it not even worn in very good condition. Great lamps, there is just a lot, have to really dig in and take your time to search, it's always crowded because of amazing finds. Staff is volunteers only and profits go towards ministry and store operation costs.
ReplyDeleteI personally believe in Divine Providence and the work the Lois Steiner and all the volunteers are doing, and the many people they help. As Bambi's mother said," If you don't have something nice to say DON'T say anything at all,"
