Ocala Bicycle Center

The Ocala Bicycle Center is THE place to go in Ocala for all your biking needs.  Dan and Carrie Miller have owned and operated the shop for a number of years and have come to be known for their integrity and the quality of their products.

This gentleman, a serious biker, was captured testing one of the products!

And this is a bike stand located in downtown Ocala.  It has no connection to the Ocala Bicycle Center, but I thought it was appropriate to include it in this post because it is bike-related and because I promised RedPat up in Toronto that I'd show her one of our rather plain bike stands.  If you've visited her blog, you know Toronto is a leader in creative bike stands.

  2. That reminds me that my bike has a flat tire and I need to get it fixed and start exercising. If I live in Ocala, I could take it to them!

  3. Hee! I was just thinking of the Toronto bike stands and then I read your last sentences. I think this one could stand its own in Toronto. It's neat!

  4. I like my bike stands to be large at the top and close to a wall. I can imagine what kind of pain might be involved if they were further from the wall and less prominent, say, twenty to thirty inches from the ground or so. In which case they might have to be called a horse stand. An involuntary horse stand.

  5. Like the bike center's slogan, "Ride the Best." They have that right. Life is too short to ride a cheap bike. Can't tell much about a bike riding it on a wind-trainer, unless he was testing the wind-trainer. Fine series.

  9. Nice bike stand. I was interested in David Thomas' comment about liking them close to a wall - ours are all at the curb or far away from structures.
