The answer, my friend, is blowin' in the wind...
Blowin' In The Wind was written by Bob Dylan.
In June 1962, the song was published in Sing Out!, accompanied by Dylan's comments:
There ain’t too much I can say about this song except that the answer is blowing in the wind. It ain’t in no book or movie or TV show or discussion group. Man, it’s in the wind – and it’s blowing in the wind. Too many of these hip people are telling me where the answer is but oh I won’t believe that. I still say it’s in the wind and just like a restless piece of paper it’s got to come down some ...But the only trouble is that no one picks up the answer when it comes down so not too many people get to see and know . . . and then it flies away. I still say that some of the biggest criminals are those that turn their heads away when they see wrong and know it’s wrong. I’m only 21 years old and I know that there’s been too many . . . You people over 21, you’re older and smarter.[6]

I can almost feel the wind. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteNice photo to go with the song. It's like I can see the wind in the picture! :)
ReplyDeleteThe words could have been written today!
ReplyDeleteBob Dylan occupied much of my teen and young adult music loves....and Leonard Cohen....yep....an aging hippie is what I proclaim to be...or should I say..that is what my daughter claims that I am ;) Love the photo.
ReplyDeletenice shot.
ReplyDeletemust have been a breeze...
Just lovely, Lowell!
ReplyDeleteI like to call those plants "wheatie, grassie thingies". I've always liked them!
ReplyDeleteElephant grass?
ReplyDeleteWell, now Dylan is older and smarter...and the answers are still blowing in the wind.
ReplyDeleteNice photo. Love the colors.
ReplyDeletePerfect title for your great pic! I can hear Peter, Paul & Mary singing in my head.
ReplyDeleteI've known this as pampas grass. Pretty shot.
ReplyDeleteBob Dylan still has a lot to say. Is anybody listening?
Ah, Bob Dylan, my sixties companion...at least on the radio.
ReplyDeleteThat's an allergy attack for someone. Nice shot.
ReplyDeleteI love pampas grass . . . and Bob Dylan is amazing. Like Picasso, he's created influential new styles over a lifetime - and with good messages. How many people do that? Not to mention, what a great musician. Remember when all the detractors said, "But he can't sing"? :-)
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I can feel and smell the wind. Love this!
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteMaybe Dylan's words make sense drunk or stoned. They are gibberish when sober.
ReplyDeleteIt was really windy here... good for you, awesome pic!
ReplyDeleteHello friend! Fantastic photos! You have beautifully captured the wind on the photo! .... For clarification:) with Tom in the pool, no daddy, not Grandpa. We were visiting, where they had a pool, (Tom swims in the pool and the pool owner) :), you're right, it's wonderful when a child learns to swim, maybe my son will learn without the ring and sleeve swim, as well as your granddaughter . Have a great day!
ReplyDeleteA bit of a breeze then.
ReplyDeleteGreat shot, Dylan's comments are as appropriate today as ever.
