  7. This is my mental image of Ocala!
It is 70˚F here as I type so not too cold for the geese yet but I'm sure there are a lot of them thinking about heading your way soon.

  10. The horses and green fields are certainly what we think of when -- or if -- we think of Ocala. It is a lot like Lexington, Kentucky, except Kentucky has more hills.

  11. I chuckled at your comment on my site today. Wait till you see the rest of the pictures I've taken and they are all from the same yard. These peopled moved into the house just across the street from last year around September and when I saw their Halloween decorations I couldn't believe it. They have an even bigger display this year. I'll be posting more photos in the days leading up to Halloween. The funny thing is, they don't decorate very much for any other holiday including Christmas. I was expecting a huge Christmas display last year but, nothing. Strange!

  12. There's nothing quite so peaceful as watching horses graze. Reminds me a bit of Tennessee.

  14. You've changed my idea of Florida, if this is iconic. You sure those aren't 'gators in drag?
