Crossroads Church appears to be a relatively small fundamentalist Christian group. I'd guess this carnival is functioning as a fundraiser of some kind. The photo was taken on Sunday morning which is undoubtedly the reason there are no hordes of screaming kids! :)
Wow, this is beautiful, Lowell, great photo! I love the colours and the sky. Great childhood memories here.
ReplyDeleteYou've lost me...what's the connection between no kids and Sunday? They're at church?
ReplyDeleteI remember riding on these. Probably the wildest ride I've been on.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your day !

ReplyDeleteDid your Mum take you on any rides?

There seem to be a lot of colorful rides at this event.
ReplyDeleteWell maybe the kids are in Church and will be on the rides when church is over. Sunday they should be there. What do I know??? MB
ReplyDeleteSunday morning is my favorite time to go out with my camera. People are either in church or still sleeping and its so quiet and peaceful.
ReplyDeleteIt must be carnival time because I see there is one setting up here for this weekend.
This looks too scary for me!
ReplyDeleteYou are not going to see me up on one of those contraptions. Nosirree!
ReplyDeleteWonderful. A great big mechanical flower.
ReplyDeleteThis is a truly magical shot, Lowell. I love it!
ReplyDeleteGreat colors! I'll stay planted on the ground, however.
ReplyDeleteLovely perspective with the blue sky background!
ReplyDeleteCool colourful shot, Lowell!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shot, Lowell, I love the perspective and the bright colors.
