Some Ocalans claim to trust in God

Driving around the east side of town the other day, we found this sign prominently displayed in many yards. We think the displays are a project of a local church.

  1. They also could be treasury employees.

  2. We do hope for the best. I'll put my trust in who's in the foxhole next to me. MB

  3. Maybe the church wants people to deposit more items containing the words "in God we trust" into the church collection plate on Sundays.

  4. Andy's comment made me laugh! I'll just leave it there.

  5. I'm glad they can trust in something!

  6. I always wonder about folks who feel the need to express their thoughts so overtly. Maybe I just don't trust people.

  7. Maybe it's "value added" worship. Donate over a certain dollar level and you get to advertise your faith with a cool plastic sign suitable for sprucing up any landscape. You know, just in case anyone should be wondering.

  8. I'd probably stand out if I had a sign saying I trust myself...

  11. The signs are curious but what has really caught my eye here are those plantation blinds, maybe you call them louver blinds. It is only until recently you could buy them in England (imported from California). About 20 years ago we brought 10 panels to England on the plane as part of our luggage. No way could we do that now :).

  12. Why not more hospitals or schools instead of churches?...

  13. Hmmm. I often wonder why so many Americans say they trust in God but then own guns. Maybe these homeowners don't own guns though.

  14. Strange....
I will let you know if I see something similar here.

!5 years back we had a man out in the traffic who had signs with Jesus will be back soon....

    Perhaps he gave up?
Or perhaps the police told him off, because the car drivers nearly crashed their cars...
