Thanks for the interesting comment about cattle ranching in Florida. As a matter of fact my grandfather and his brother were both Florida cattlemen. Here is a link with a pic of my great Uncle Gilbert Barkoskie. He was one of Florida's pioneer cattle ranchers and was once named "Cattleman of the Century" by the Florida Cattlemen Association where he served as a director. He lived in Fellsmere. http://www.floridacattleranch.org/history1.html He is the one kneeling with the dogs in the picture.
It's me again. Thanks for your suggestion about writing a book. I'm afraid I don't have the patience! My aunt wrote one though about her memories of growing up in rural Florida in the 1930's and 40's. Here is another link to her book: http://www.amazon.com/Cabbageberries-Duck-Feathers-Tides-Collection/dp/0976729121
I think that this architecture is very different from what i would expect in Florida. Not bad looking. A hot second floor doesn't sound too practical; I'm sure it has air conditioning tho.
Pretty neat little duplex, but I'd never survive in Florida, I'm afraid!! Hope your week is going well, Lowell!!
ReplyDeleteThey look like nice places. Shouldn't be hard to rent, Lowell!
ReplyDeleteThat house would cost at least a couple of million $$!
"For Rent?"
ReplyDeleteA neat duplex!
ReplyDeleteNice place but Florida is just not for me.
ReplyDeleteIf they throw in a Muskoka (Adirondack) chair, I'd consider it.
ReplyDeleteTwins!!! I am sure it would be rented by the time I got there. MB
ReplyDeleteIdentical 'twins'!
ReplyDeleteIt looks cute. Someone should just make It one big house!
ReplyDeleteIt's almost like seeing double.
ReplyDeleteThat is one of the cutest duplexes I have ever seen. I like the color.
ReplyDeleteVery nice, love the pastel colors!
ReplyDeleteIt almost looks like trick photography or a mirror image. But, I'll pass on renting it.
ReplyDeleteSo everything inside is in the same place the other way round?

ReplyDeleteThat's a cute little house for two persons or two small families.
ReplyDeleteJust imagine you don't like your neighbours... :-)
ReplyDeleteI the place on the right had a chair like the one on the left I might consider renting. :)
