This is an abandoned house on the southeast side of Ocala, near where we used to live. It's been abandoned for a number of years and is slowly being swallowed up by Florida flora. There's a smaller house near this one that was abandoned just a few years ago and is now completely covered by bushes and trees.
WOW!! Old Mother Nature does know how to cover up the trashing ones, doesn't she!!!
ReplyDeleteHow sad. And such a waste.
ReplyDeleteIt doesn't take long for nature to reclaim.
ReplyDeleteThat is so astounding to see, Lowell!
ReplyDeleteVery sad to see abandoned homes. Nature will pick it up.
ReplyDeleteIt's a sad sight when there are so many homeless people in the U.S.
ReplyDeleteScenes like this always make me wonder about the back story. What happened so that it got to this condition?
ReplyDeleteI think hope was abandoned when the last residents left. I agree with Randy.
ReplyDeleteMother Nature always gets her way.
ReplyDeleteSpooky!
ReplyDeleteSo many people who are homeless and a place like this goes to ruin. Something WRONG here.
ReplyDeleteA sad picture, Lowell, but, hey, what a title !
ReplyDeleteNice title! The force of nature at work against man made things...
ReplyDeleteThe earth is going to swallow it up.
ReplyDeleteThat Mother Nature works fast too. Needs some TLC.
ReplyDeleteIt always amazes me how the jungle swalled entire cities that have been rediscovered centuries later, like Angkor, Tikal or Machu Picchu or even very recently the Mayan city in Mexico whose name I haven't memorized yet.
ReplyDeleteHow sad...
ReplyDeleteSad but a cool photo op!
ReplyDeleteDoes look haunted!! Well captured!
ReplyDeleteKinda sad---what stories these abandoned places could tell.
