Yikes! And people walk under this? Like the 'Old Man in the Mountain' on the face of a mountain in NH. They awoke and he was gone. This tree will meet the same fate, I fear.
Wow, this is so interesting. As other people wrote, it is a pisa tree. In traditional Japanese garden, I often see a pine tree planted (too) slanting, which looks like a resting "ryu/dragon" to my eyes.
That's what happens when the squirrels are storing too many nuts up top.
ReplyDeleteWe had a tree like that fall over onto the road recently. I'd be inclined to not walk under this one.
ReplyDeleteA Pisan tree in Florida!
ReplyDeleteHmmm I look a bit like that, but just leaning, not beautiful and leafy like this one!! You do find such great ones!!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lush pic, Lowell!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tree.
ReplyDeleteThis is amazing, Lowell...and beautiful!
ReplyDeleteI like this image, it is so beautiful, Lowell !
ReplyDeleteThis tree is much more leaning than the Pisan tower :-)
That's a very impressive lean!
ReplyDeleteYikes!

ReplyDeleteHi! Dropping by from Linda's blog.
ReplyDeleteLovely photo!
Maybe this will become a major attraction, like that leaning tower that's somewhere in Italy. ;-)
ReplyDeleteInteresting---I wouldn't want to be on the walk when the tree decides to ker-splat!

Nice one, Lowell.
ReplyDeleteI have a thing for hanging moss...
ReplyDeleteI hope the roots are hanging on for dear life!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful tree and setting!
