Twisted on the Trail

During my lifetime I've read a number of weird, twisted tales. And I've walked some trails which offered their own twist on things. This is one of them.

  1. "Twisted Trail". What a great name for some micro brew's new fall concoction. I think we've stumbled on to something here. Cheers!

  4. The first tree almost looks like it has arms wrapped around the post. Lovely walkway.

  6. Wisteria! Only thing wrong with them is that their bloom time is so short. But considering what's left behind, who can complain? And I do like the title of "twisted tales."

  10. Looks like it's a very mature wisteria by the thickness of the trunk, can you take another shot when it's in flower pleeeeease Lowell :)

  14. This is the perfect setting for wisteria. Left to ramble on its own, it can overtake and kill understory trees.

I bet that this is beautiful when it is full of lavender blooms!

  15. What powerful veins! Their twining and climbing around is amazing. If a real tree is coiled, it could be murdered. BTW, twists and turns can be fun at times on a long journey. My husband likes driving on zig-zag winding road.
