This is a tale of two totem poles that have relatively recently found their way onto the Dock at Cedar Key. No one knows where they came from or what they're doing here or what they want. They have, however, informed us of their names and demand to be addressed in the proper manner: Mr. Totem Pole with Hanging Light, and Mr. Totem Pole with Head Light.
I prefer the first one!
ReplyDeleteI especially love the first one, Lowell. Great captures! :)
ReplyDeleteSorry, Messrs. Totem Pole, but you both look like overgrown tiki lamps to me.
ReplyDeleteHow interesting, beautiful pictures.
ReplyDeleteHappy weekend!
Not how the Native Americans envisaged them being used I imagine!
ReplyDeleteMr Totem Pole with hanging light looks a little grrrrrrrrrr! Why, who, how and where did they come from?
ReplyDeleteKind or scary looking, methinks!
ReplyDeleteNot the traditional colours for totem poles, Lowell!
ReplyDeleteA new use for totem poles, I guess... :-)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous, but a bit scary!
ReplyDeleteThanks for shining a 'light' on this subject.
ReplyDeletethose are a couple of angry looking totem poles.

ReplyDeleteHmmmmm.
ReplyDeleteInteresting. Wonder about their history though.
ReplyDeleteThe first one is my preferred!
