This is an old fire engine which was parked in a strip mall parking lot for some months. Now it's gone. The trouble with old fire engines is that they don't work so well. We just don't have many old fires. All our fires are new ones and seem to require new fire engines. Well, that's what I've been told.
Someone does a good job taking care of this one.
ReplyDeleteLol. It's a beauty though!
ReplyDeleteAh, regardless of the subject, you do know how to make my day!! It is a handsome old engine. I just hope they say the same about me in the months to come -- you do notice I've gone past "days or even weeks to come"!! I hope you have a great weekend, Lowell!!
ReplyDeleteYou usually only see these old engines in parades these days!
ReplyDeleteNice!
ReplyDeleteIt is nice and shiny! My littlest grandson would love it.
ReplyDeleteIt looks as if it has all its bells and whistles intact. And despite what Douglas MacArthur might have said, old fires don't just fade away. They need old fire engines. So there!
ReplyDeleteSomeone has been giving it lots of TLC.
ReplyDeleteBela fotografia.
ReplyDeleteGostei.
Um abraço e bom fim de semana.
You're such a card, Lowell! I love old-timey cars and this fire engine seems to be well-cared-for. I wonder what happened to it?
ReplyDeletealert
ReplyDeletefire !!
Maybe old, but shiny and well equipped !
ReplyDeleteYou always speak so sensibly, Lowell. How true that! All the fires here are new too so that explains why East Gwillimbury has two new fire trucks, each costing $1 million. ;)
ReplyDeleteGorgeous and so well kept!
ReplyDeleteSo, the former fire has already been extinguished, and this is a wonderful fire truck is unemployed.
ReplyDeleteReally lovely photo.
Makes perfect sense!
ReplyDeleteHandsome old truck!
Rutilant ;o)
ReplyDeleteBright and beautiful!!
ReplyDeleteIt is beautiful and a gem !!
ReplyDeleteUn abrazo.
