The Green Grasshopper

I really don't know what this is. It stayed in place on our driveway for a couple of days. It appears to be some kind of grasshopper. Strange creature.

I really don't know what it is but the term "leaf hopper" seems to apply since it looks so very much like a leaf and can probably hop.

  5. I think I've seen something similar Lowell, very delicate insects, they sort of sit and sway. You captured a super macro here.

  6. Very cool looking creature! Reminds me of a 'walking stick' -- an insect that looks like a small branch.

I've never seen such a creature, with such a green color and a strange, complete different shadow.
