Renovations Underway


We found this birdhouse on the Ocala Golf Course.

It appears that "someone," a woodpecker perhaps, has been engaged in renovating the place.

The entrance was simply too small for any decent sized bird!

    Birdhouse inspectors will have to be brought in to ensure it's up to code and the fire alarms are in good working order.

    We've had birds do this on one or two of our birdhouses. "Honey, can't we have a front door like the Smiths, over there?"

    I think this is a bluebird house, but it looks like something else is trying to take it over!

    Looks like for size only for the time being, but someday…. The bark of the tree is so beautiful.

    The texture on the tree truck is fabulous in the photo! The gnawed entrance is probably those pesky squirrels breaking and entering. . . at least trying their darndest!

    It seems there are always a few renovations needed when you move into a new house. It looks like the birds are good at do-it-yourself.
