Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach in far northeast Florida is a wonderful place to live or visit on vacation. The enchanting historic district offers lots of history and many delightful shops. The people who run the place like to make visitors welcome.
One way they do this is to provide water dishes for our canine family members. Here are two women watching a family pooch slake his thirst on a very hot Florida summer day!
They are "looking down."

Very civilized!
ReplyDeleteA dog never misses an opportunity to look down. That's where he can find something that makes him happy--in this case a nice cool drink :)
ReplyDeleteWhat a great picture for the theme. I love Fernandina Beach! I used to go there quite a bit since I grew up in Jacksonville Beach.
ReplyDeleteSweet photo, Lowell, and I am so glad people are remembering and looking out for our four-footed friends. :)
ReplyDeleteLooking down at a furry friend is a favorite occupation.
ReplyDeleteLovely take!!
ReplyDeleteObservando com atenção.
ReplyDeleteUm abraço e bom fim de semana.

That is good! Like water dishes for dogs.
ReplyDeleteProviding water for animals in shopping and coffee areas is a very humane thing to do (although this one looks like a potty chair!).
ReplyDeleteWhat a perfect post for the theme! I love it. I also love that English Bulldog getting the drink. I grew up with an English Bulldog so I have a special love for them. They really are sweet dogs even if they have a bit of a snarly face.
ReplyDeletePerfectly timed and a thoughtful image.
ReplyDeleteThanks for leaving a comment, Lowell.
It's very helpful for the dogs, and their humans will remember businesses and places that do that.
ReplyDeleteAmelia island is on our Florida bucket list! Someday. have had fun catching up on your posts missed when we traveled; thanks for keeping Florida going for us ;>0 as we spend summer and fall here in Oregon -- where people complain about the heat when it is 80 degrees. Wimps!
ReplyDeleteThat dog looks like he's used to getting a lot of attention Lowell :) Super shot for the theme.
ReplyDeleteA very original interpretation!
ReplyDeletePerfect for the theme. Both people and a dog are looking down.

Looking down was fun. I love to see what others see 'looking down'.
