Mudpie

Mudpie is a relatively new store in our relatively small shopping mall. From the outside, Mudpie appears to be a place where women and children can buy clothing along with photo frames and other sundry items.

There's nothing wrong with that, but I fail to understand why anyone would name a store "Mudpie." That's not much of a step above "cowpie," and I've stepped in a few of them in my life.  Not fun!

  1. Yes, the name is strange for a mall.

  2. It appears to be a store with a very eclectic inventory. PS. You REALLY got fired up about my post on the Wooddale Church. I probably should have suppled some of the historical info that you so generously provided!

  6. You pose an excellent question here. When I first looked at the photo I thought maybe it was an ice cream or snack store. Mudpie might be a more appropriate name for a store like that.

  7. Do not think I would go near a store named "Mudpie" unless there was chocolate involved.

  12. I used to make mudpies when I was a kid. I thought the same as RedPat, that it might be an ice cream place!

  14. I find stores like this confusing. I like them to be more specialized in something... and the name is weird.
