Ay Alisco

Ay Alisco is a Mexican restaurant located in the downtown area of the Village of Spanish Springs in The Villages. We've dined there on numerous occasions and always found it to be a good experience. These photos were taken at noon on a slow day; there were other diners, but they were seated in other parts of the restaurant or in the outside dining area.

  1. I do enjoy a good Mexican restaurant. Who is that guy behind the bar who doesn't seem to move? ;-)

  2. Lowell, looks like a good place to eat. I do love a good Mexican restaurant, and fortunately we do have one. But eating outside is still months away for us.

  3. I can't quite decide if that fellow behind the bar is actually a breathing person, or a picture of the World's Most Interesting Man.

  9. I love Mexican food. I wonder about that man behind the bar and agree with William. I know it's the Villages so a fake bartender would fit in with the Village's theme. Just create it even if it's not real then it becomes real. :)

  11. It looks like a nice enough place. Yummy!
About the wood stack. I am curious about how the wood is stacked--at one time there were 4 and down they go and up they go. I wonder who reaches up to take the ones off the top to use. Maybe I will be brave enough someday to stop and ask

  13. Had to laugh when I saw the top photo before I read your narrative. The sunburst made me think you were in México! Well, here I am! If you cannot get into my Mazatlán blog, send me an email. If you have ever been in México you will understand when I tell you my computer is not working up to snuff.

  14. We love Mexican food, so this would be a great choice. We had to look a little to find genuine ones here in this area of Florida.... back home in Oregon, they are much more prevalent.

  15. I like the ambience when people having a good time at this kind of place. Looks like you almost monopolized the restaurant. There are few Mexican restaurants here. When I find one, I'll surely dine there.
