Break from blogging

We are taking a blogging break. This will be the last posting on any of our blogs for awhile. We thank all of our followers/supporters over the past 2 1/2 years. We'll be back at some point in the future.

Best wishes to all!

Chili's Restaurant - southwest Ocala

We have two Chili's restaurants in Ocala. In recent months, this one, on the southwest side of town, has improved vastly in terms of food and service. It is now one of our favorite places to eat.

Abacus Accounting & Tax Service...

...is located near downtown Ocala. I think, however, I'd find an accounting and tax service that used computers. I mean, using an abacus is OK, but rather old technology; don't you think? ;-)

Entrance - On Top of the World

This is one of several entrances to On Top of the World, which is a 55 plus community located in southwest Ocala. OTOW occupies almost 13,000 acres of land purchased by developer Sidney Colen in 1981. Over the years the community has grown to include over 4,000 homes, three golf courses, and numerous other amenities.

In Memoriam: Haley - born January 14, 1999; died June 3, 2011

Haley was born at Amberwood Golden Retrievers in Davenport, Florida. Her Dam was the beautiful No Guts No Glory, and her Sire was the champion show dog, Apocalypso, aka "Buffett."

Haley was a sweet, tender, gentle and loving creature who was our pride and joy. She had a heart of gold, never barked, and would emit a purring-like sound when petted. She loved everyone, especially children, and enjoyed their company - the more raucous the better.

We called her Pookie and miss her more than words can say!

The above photo was created by our dear friend, Leia, for her "We Love Luna" blog.

Horse Truck

We saw someone come out of this truck. He was not a horse. But it did look like he might be living in this Horse Truck. Hmmm...

Another small Ocala horse farm...

...this one's located about 2 miles from where we live. The photo was taken a couple of days ago.
