It may not look like much, but it will take you where you want to go. Usually.
We'll be out-of-pocket for a few days and will not be posting on any of our blogs. We'll miss our many blogging friends, but will return soon.

Divine Providence Ministries thrift shop
This place should be called Divine Negligence! It is one of the worst "thrift" shops I've ever seen. It's crowded, messy and dirty. Many of the items for sale should have been thrown in the trash years ago. Still, there were people shopping there. Maybe they saw something I didn't.

Wells Fargo Bank - a bummer
Just recently, Well Fargo Bank bought out Wachovia Bank. The photo above shows our local Wells Fargo branch bank. A few days ago, we went inside this bank for the first time. It was a bummer. We saw no one we knew. All the Wachovia employees were gone. The atmosphere was drear and unhappy. While we stood and waited, the one available teller ignored us. The young man who finally helped us was nice enough, but couldn't count well and was obviously fearful of making a mistake.
Boo! Bring back Wachovia!

Subway in Walmart
Walmart intends to be all things to all people. Just about every "need" one could have is anticipated in this Walmart store. And if you're hungry, grab a sub and Subway. You can also get your hair cut, your eyes examined and your photo taken. In this way Walmart puts a lot of small, local business establishments out of business. It's hard to compete with a behemoth like Walmart that has the wherewithal to undercut just about any other store's prices.

Sheriff's golf cart
There's a sub-station of the Marion County Sheriff's office on the southwest side of town. I've often seen this Sheriff's golf cart in the parking lot. What they use it for, I can't imagine. Maybe to catch people speeding in their golf carts on local golf courses?
I think I'll have to slow down on the Stone Creek Golf Course. I sure don't want to hit a good drive and suddenly see those red and blue lights flashing in my rear view mirror!
