The Villages Regional Hospital

The Villages Regional Hospital is a very busy place and is almost always involved in renovation and construction.  With thousands of people moving to The Villages every month, most of them being of an "advanced" age, you can imagine that The Villages and surrounding areas provide a wide array of medical opportunities and facilities.

What was, as few as ten years ago, a relatively small community of homes with a nice little downtown has now become a vast, sprawling cacophony of houses, stores, shopping malls, sporting venues, and three "downtowns" covering many miles and hundreds and hundreds of acres.  Traffic is becoming a real problem and it's increasingly difficult to avoid getting run over by the gadzillion golf carts zooming through the streets

Fresh Off the Boat

At the Saturday morning Farmer's Market in downtown Ocala, the fish come to you, fresh off the boat!

West Virginia Redneck

Some of these people are still fighting the Civil War and flying the flag of treason. Note: Initially I thought this was a Florida truck. Thanks to Lois at Tallahassee Daily Photo for pointing out the error of my ways and I apologize to all non-racist Florida rednecks. The truck is from West Virginia.

A fish eye's view

At Silver Springs. A glass bottom boat. A fish eye's view of the bottom of a Florida tourist looking at fish through the glass bottom of a glass bottom boat.

Stormy weather on Amelia Island

We are still on hiatus, but celebrated our wedding anniversary on Amelia Island again this year. The above is one of the photos we took while tooling about the island, trying to avoid the storms.

We have put together a rather brief slide show on L & L Photography, which you can access here.

You may also be interesting in knowing that the book, "Perched on the Edge," is now available at Amazon for $15.48.

Our best wishes to all of our good blogging friends! We will be back!
