Good for her!
«Louis» used to run - including several half-marathons (never tried a full 26K marathon). A bum knee brought a halt to all of that...

And you're following along in your speedy little golf cart, right?

"Basket case" indeed! -:)

Four miles?? Wow. I can walk four miles, does that count?

Hey, more power to her!!! It looks like you have some nice scenery along the way, too. I wouldn't have expected brown grass in FL. Is it because of the unusually cold winter?

brattcat said...

She's definitely figured out how to take advantage of the new 'hood.

Lowell said...

@ Tapirgal...Yes, although in Ocala we're far enough north that the grass will die out before the winter's over.

But this year, with two weeks of hellish cold (20's and even some nights in the teens), most all of the grass has gone brown.

Except in the yard of our house we're selling...we've got big water oaks that pretty much cover the front yard, and that has stayed fairly green - the only yard in the neighborhood that has any green!

I'll bet our neighbors are green with envy! ;-)

Oh boy I wish I had spent my day doing that - no wait, the roads are covered with ice. Lovely cheery photo though!

Lowell said...

@ Memphis - Nope! I ride a bike along with her, but that doesn't count, either! :-)

I've been trying to start to run, like you my knees are not working very well though. I have a doc appt on Friday to see if theres damage to them or just pain.

A new place for Louis Anne runs. I hope you stop your bike before shooting... or are you doing this cowboy style?

I agree that I can easily walk 4 miles, but am not at all interested in running that distance. My camera gets too shaken up...

Nice shot; great place to walk or run.

It looks so dry, flat and warm there. Ideal for running!

I remember last year you showed a photo of Lois, you had taken when she was coming towards you. I ran all my life but had to stop a few years ago due to problems in my spine. I miss running!

Bravo to her!

I envy you that wide biking and running lane. We have no such things in Manila. Our grass will be that brown in just a few more weeks, I think.

Lois Anne is such a good girl for getting her regular exercise. I should start someday soon! Yeah, right. ;)

And you are? Waiting for her to return? Lagging behind on a bicycle?

Frank said...

Don't you guys just love the cart lanes. Very little chance of being run over by a car...just warn her you're shooting and driving behind her. Got a good horn??.

The grass around here looks just like that! What a beautiful day.

She must be in fabulous shape to run four miles!

What strikes me most of your beautiful photo is the clear sky ... we have forgotten it!

Bergson said...

I think he should run in the woods

Lowell said...

@ Bergson - This is my wife, Lois, and she often runs through the woods! :-)

Lowell said...

@ VP - Hey, if I didn't stop the bike, I'd end up under a car or a palm tree! At my age, I can't take any chances!

What a great neighborhood for a walk or run. I'm a walker and have to get in my car to go to my wooded walking trail. Sometimes I tackle all the hills in my neighborhood, but it's hard work!

Go Lois, Go Lois, Go Lois! I read it was 20 degrees there lately but 20 degrees Celsius isn't THAT cold!

Hi Jacob! It's time for you to get off your bike and start running, you're not that old.☺
