We met Hal and Jane and their street rod at an outdoor mall yesterday afternoon...they were on their way to a car show but kindly consented to having their picture taken with their pride and joy!
I suggested that this street rod looked like a lot of fun, and Jane grinned and said, "Oh, yes!"
And then they drove off as people everywhere stared in admiration!

I think I should have one of those!
Wow! Jacob. I hope you aren't writing off the messenger on Greensboro Daily Photo! We had no idea that taking a picture of a sign would cause so much controversy!!!! Please stop back by on another day-- even another Sunday! Maybe we'd better stick to skywatch, reflections, camera critters, ETC!!!
In the meantime, we continue to envy your laidback life in the Sunshine State! Right now we need to click on your statue-- queen of Peace Catholic Church photo and REFLECT!
This street rod does look like fun, until it rains.
an eyecatcher indeed!
would love to ride one of these!
And they didn't offer you a ride?
Sure does look like fun!
Great photos of a great car and a nice couple and...what IS that hanging off the right side mirror? Nevermind, I don't want to know. :)
Not only is that a fun car, it seems to be well "air-conditioned" too! Do they always drive around topless?
I'm thinking, I need me a little pick-up like that. MB
Beautiful Shots Jacob !! I loved the vintage car especially !!
I would definitely love one of these. I like the raccoon tail.
magnifique cette vieille voiture, j'adore son design, cela fait un peu penser a un Jeep
Like the machine, regret the tail.
You know I'm not generally a car fan, but this one I can appreciate. It looks fantastic!
But is that a real tail I see hanging on the right side mirror??
Not a great car fan either, but this is clearly something special.
It does look like fun when the weather is good. :)
Is that a fox tail? Very cool!!!
it is a very cool ride
and they look like a cool couple
I also couldn't help but notice the store and think - shoes!!
Regarding your comment about the waterfalls. The biggest falls is Whatcom Falls and I hiked around the whole area and in the small river/creek area there were several small falls which probably are included in the mosaic. MB
This is a cool setup. Seems like an old model "T" tricked out with a Willy's Jeep flair. A very unique ride in todays day and age.
very cool
All I can say is "poor raccoon"!
Oh yes, fun is the word.
That is a bit different.
What fantastic shots...of nostalgia and a classic.
LOVE the coon tail
After the waterfront in the Villages, now you've got me craving for a shopping mall American style ;-)even without such a fun vehicle to get around in!
i want the same to buy my bread
For our next snowstorm I might prefer a different vehicle. Then again, who knows - it might be up to the task. Did it hum nicely or was it a noisy encounter?
I'm surprised and enchanted!
And your friends are really nice!

It would be a little difficult to park here...but I agree with others: it's very cool!
I want to meet Hal and Jane. They look like fun! Their car is great.

Great from the front, but looks like a lawnmower from the back - very cool, nonetheless.
OMG! I LOVE DSW Shoes! That is my absolute fav place to shoe shop! They have soooooooooooo many shoes! My favorite brand is "ME TOO." They are just the cutest shoes EVER! Every time I see a DSW, I just go crazy and shop, shop, shop! I even have a frequent shopper card there, if you can believe it! I think I might just call in sick tomo and go shoe shopping instead. You won't tell Leif, will you??
Cool car, by the way.
Glad you got their photo in that fantastic car!
@ Allison - You need not worry, my dear. I tell Safe Leif only what he needs to know. Which isn't much! Well, actually, he needs to know a lot about a lot of things, but you know that I mean. I think.
Methinks also that you might have a DSW problem. Thus, it might behoove you to shop at DSW in Ocala...what happens in Ocala stays in Ocala!
