Beautiful set of photos. I'm botanically challenged so I won't attempt to identify anything here. I do know that orchids usually remind me of space aliens. (Except for naturalized Florida orchids, of course)

Regarding Askew!, the game:

the crooked sticks need to balance. Anything that falls off is in your pile. Goal is to get rid of all of them. I never usually follow rules to games like these, so I haven't read them diligently. I just like to balance them. The man who designed the game is a designer for Volvo. I think he actually developed the prototype with coat hangers!
