Some of Ocala's fire rescue personnel having breakfast at Bagelicious...

...and on the wall of the restaurant, a couple of tributes to their heroism.

LOVE the colours in these photos, Jacob! Firefighters are men and women who deserve to be recognized. Neat post!

Is that where Erik Estrada is hiding out?
I can't imagine wearing shorts here in January.
I like your shot of them, so much to take in and think about just from one picture.

That restaurant is a little, um, bright. But then again, I am a boring and buttoned down New Englander. We prefer things a little more faded.

My word today is "incen". Don't you think that is appropriate for a photo of firefighters?

I've always looked up to firefighters...probably because my dad is a retired firefighter :)

We don't usually think about people who do things like this until we need them. THEN we are glad they are there doing their job.

Excellent!!

My Grandfather (my Mother's Father) was a firefighter in Seattle starting out with horses. I have several pics of him I posted before. I was always proud of him even though I never knew him. MBMB

Love all the shapes and colours. Did you ask them before you photographed them? These important and courageous people?

these guys deserve all the plaudits!

Very brave people and yes they do deserve the tribute!

What a great tribute. No wonder they stop there for breakfast!

An tribute, yes, and if the cook plays with the fire in the kitchen, then help is near ;-)
Have a nice weekend, Jacob - your family too!

Must be a regular hangout for them! It's funny how our uniformed public servants are so faithful to particular places-- here, too, you'll find the firefighters, police, and state troopers at their separate favorite haunts regularly.

It's sort of like a Planet Hollywood, except nicer. :)

Great post! Love the color and content.
I've been meaning to say, I'm enjoying the new banner photo too.

Neat. Bright colors and a great reminder to the rest of us.

And that one dude is wearing shorts...gotta love FL in January.

Great tribute, Jabob! They are true heroes, not like many in our history that killed hundreds or thousands of people...
