Haley was born at Amberwood Golden Retrievers in Davenport, Florida. Her Dam was the beautiful No Guts No Glory, and her Sire was the champion show dog, Apocalypso, aka "Buffett."
Haley was a sweet, tender, gentle and loving creature who was our pride and joy. She had a heart of gold, never barked, and would emit a purring-like sound when petted. She loved everyone, especially children, and enjoyed their company - the more raucous the better.
We called her Pookie and miss her more than words can say!
The above photo was created by our dear friend, Leia, for her "We Love Luna" blog.

I'm so sorry for your loss, Jacob. I wish you and Lois Anne peace as you work through your grieving. A wonderful dog such as Haley will deservedly be missed.
Sorry for your loss, it is always hard when a loved pet dies. Some nice words and photos here.
Oh no Jacob! I'm so sorry. She was a beautiful dog and a wonderful companion.
This has to be painful for you, Jacob. I am sorry that you lost this fine companion.
Oh, my friends, I'm weeping with you. I'm so sorry.
Although nothing can diminish your loss, take heart in knowing you gave her the best life possible. I've always loved seeing her gentle expression - she will be truly missed!
I am truly sorry about Haley and I remember her from your previous post where she was next to the ceramic puppy. It is heartbreaking when our dear companions leave us.
Our pets really are part of our family, and we grieve for them as well. No-one or other animal can quite take their place. Try to remember all the love she gave you and how lucky you were to have such a fine pet.
so so sorry to hear that .....
may her soul rest in peace ....

Oh, Jacob! Your sorrow is mine. Beautiful photos of your tender Haley. I know times are very difficult for you and Leia... because I have seen this sad experience for 4 times. I am very moved, Jacob.
I don't really have any words left.
So sorry, there is a mistake in my last comment : I wanted to write "Lois" and no "Leia".
What a beautiful pup with such a sweet face.
My sympathies go out to you & yours. It is tough losing a best friend.
I am so sorry for Your loss...
What a loving memorial to this wonderful dog. I love goldens. They are the gentlest, sweetest, and most loving dogs I've ever come across. I certainly feel your sorrow on such a loss.
I understand how you must feel. I sympathize and know you will never forget Haley. I still call Spike, Panda sometimes, even though they are quite different in size and temperament. The good memories live forever. I can recall every dog member of my family since I was twelve years old! I think I always will.
Regards
I lost my beautiful Airedale a year ago and am still devastated - remember the good times. She looks like she was a beauty!
Oh, dear Jacob and Lois Anne, what a sad day for you. Haley was so precious to you. I can relate to the pain of losing a much loved pet as some years ago we lost our sweetest Ali, a Doberman puppy to the end. Only time heals grief.
Jacob and Lois Anne, I am so sorry. I can imagine how the both of you are feeling now. Lovely tribute, very moving post.
I'm sad, I'm afraid I can't write any other comment on your other blogs today, I'll come back tomorrow.
Haley...Love you my friend.
I'm thinking of you all the time.

People sometimes say "it's just a dog/cat/pet." These people have never had the joy of bringing such a creature into their lives... or if they did they didn't really bing it into their heart. The loss is strong, I have felt it before... and I feel for you and your family now. My thoughts are with you.
My heart hurts for you two. Hurts and hurts.
It's almost been one whole year since my darling dachshund Duncan left this world, and I still miss that little warm guy every single day.The only thing that helps is looking a photos of him and seeing other joyous miniature dachshunds out and about with their people.
Thank you for sharing all of these wonderful photos of Haley, your sweet Pookie.
Oh I know how you miss her. I lost my Baxter, a dark red Golden, 10 years ago next month, and I still think about his sweet spirit. she'll always be with you.

Sorry, to read your sad message!
I am not good at finding the right words in English (nor in Norwegian).
It is just like loosing a family member!
I have been brought up with dogs, so I do remember the feeling.
Regards from Gunn, - in Stavanger/ Norway
So very sorry to hear of your loss.
Pets have such a short time here with us, but they fill up those days with such love and companionship. I know she had a wonderful life with both of you to care for her. My thoughts are with you.
I'm so sorry about Haley. I loved seeing all of the photos of her. You gave her a great home for a lot of years. :)
