The old Marion theater in downtown Ocala has, in this photo, assumed a shape similar to the ancient ziggurats of Mesopotamia and now serves a similar purpose as it reaches to worship the movie gods on high!
The City Daily Photo theme for November first is "heights." You can view other theme day posts

Movie gods?? There are movie gods? Good one!
Haha, Lowell! The Temple of Talkies. This is a very cool shot.
I'm so happy to hear that Lois is doing so well!
REALLY like this, Lowell.
Trick shot, Lowell! Good one.
You're using an awful lot of big words there, Lowell!
Cool photo.
Perfect---climbing into the clouds. haha!! The tower of tantalizing teasers of talent. MB
Very nice indeed.
Interesting photo, the clouds look like a big spider over the building :)
What a fantastic shot!
I agree with the comments about this building. Very mysterious in some sort of way too.
That big white fluffy cloud animal on top just sets this shot off so well! That is a cool looking building.
Beautiful architecture for a theatre. Nice place.
Very impressive looking structure!
Wow, how many rooms do they have there?
You know, here in Belgium some French movies are shown only in Wallonia (French part of the country) and not in Flanders (Flemish / Dutch part). Curious country...
God bless you!

OH! Now you're making me Google ziggurats of Mesopotamia to find out what you're talking about!!
Great take on the theme day. I didn't quite make it for that one. But I'm back now and settling in to my new city. Come take a look! :)
Very clever, Lowell! :-)
Nice shot, Lowell! (I'm back from my travels; it looks like you're off on adventures yourself. I hope all's well.)
Nice choice for theme day.
Hello, Lowell! First of all, I’d like to say your new profile icon took my breath away! The couple is almost the same as I have imagined, looks refined, elegant, somewhat posh, and strongly attached to each other.
The black shade of the tree, the fluffy clouds of the similar shape right over the theater, and your words add the building special mysterious quality.
Thanks for your supportive and heartwarming words to my latest post and excuse me for not having visited you sooner. Right after the posting of my last post, my mother-in-law (90-year-old) got hospitalized for emergency and passed away in two days on 3rd. To be honest with you, I’m not so sad as she didn’t have to suffer with lots of tubes at the hospital. On the other hand, my mother turned 93 today (11th) . Thank you for your concerns about her. We children decided not to inform her of her cancer. She is taking chemotherapy, believing it is for her fragile bone. I’m happy for you and Lois that she resumed her activities to keep her in fit.
Today I’m rested alone at home after the sad and hectic days. It’s raining on and off in the cold wind. I don’t dislike a rainy day but November rain really gets me down. Oh, never mind, my spirit would be brightened up as I’m celebrating my mother’s birthday with family tomorrow and I’ll be enjoying fabulous autumn colors soon.
Enjoy your November
With best wishes,
Yoko
Its almost touching the sky.
Wow. Gives a new meaning to Super Mario, which was what I thought it was called before I saw the hidden 'n'.
What a view. So great to learn about new things. Nice photo.
