You will notice that on this car lot, the Smart Car is surrounded by big pickup trucks. If you're driving a Smart Car on the streets of Ocala, the same situation prevails. You will be surrounded by big pickup trucks. If you live in Ocala, it might be smarter to get a pickup truck than a Smart Car!

Smart card, smartphone, smart car, what next?
I used to think that these cars were pretty cool, but I now believe that it's not too smart to drive them around on streets were cars are barreling along at high rates of speed.
We have a few that cruise the city. I like this one.
The Smart car is lots of fun despite being dwarfed by the pickup trucks. Once rented one for three days and completely enjoyed it. This one looks hot,
those trucks could flatten out that smart car and not even feel a bump. MB
Totally agree :).
I'd still go for a Smart.
I'm surprised the balloons don't lift the smart car up, up and away!
I've often wondered about the safety of Smart cars...guess it's important what hits you...
Maybe these are helium balloons and you need to release ballast so that they'll float you out of danger...
But the smart car has more balloons.
everyone should have the choice.
Small cars consume less fuel.
this does not seem to be a priority in your country
Driving a Smart Car looks a bit scary too me, even if it truly is smart to drive a fuel-efficient car. I fear that North Americans really aren't interested in conserving fuel though. They just want to complain about the cost. Just saying! :)
I think they are cute but I would be afraid to take one out on the highway. I saw the crash test video they did on these cars and it was not pretty.
It's the same exact situation here but, I still like the Smart Car.
The Church is ELCA--whatever that means. MB
Most of the older Churches scattered around the Valley in communities that were going to town (in them olden days) are Lutheran and a few Methodists. The Scandinavian founding fathers I imagine. Maybe I'll post a few of those churches. MB
Cute little thing! It seems to like balloons. Looks happy, anyway :-)
I'd go for the smart car! We don't have as many pickups here in the city as you do.
It's kinda' sweet there surrounded by all the big guys. After years of driving an RV pulled by a baby Freightliner or our travel van we drove cross-country this year in our small car (a generic one, not smart) and I am just getting over feeling extremely vulnerable.
I called the big ones "Urban Assault Vehicles" back in California. Around here many of the trucks are actually working vehicles - you know, the kind that carry tools and materials. They're sensible; I wish Smart Cars were safe.
It does look out of place...
But it does look like the smart car is in the lead in this race.
Do you think balloons really sell more cars? I often wonder that as almost all car lots are filled with balloons! There must be something to it...
