This was taken near the Silver River just off the River Trail of the old Silver River State Park now part of the Silver Springs State Park.
You can barely see the bench and I can't imagine sitting there for any length of time with one's back to the jungle! Who knows what lurks in the shadows?
When I saw the scene, I immediately thought of VP's blog, "
A Bunch of Benches."

Amazing, but I don't think I could sit there for very long either!! What's hiding or making a home back there, somewhere??? Great shot though!! Hope your week is off to a great start, Lowell!!
And its's probably surrounded by mosquitoes!
I'd be wondering what's in that tree!
Looks like a great spot for Tarzan and Jane.
Always cool to wonder whats lurking in the scrub. Another great photo by L& L photography!

I think those palm trees could use a trimming.

Only the Shadow nows!
I meant....Only the shadow knows! Geez, two glasses of wine and I can't type any more.
A dwarfed bench. Oh no, don't tell me that there are gators lurking?
Looks like a trap to me!
Pretty good camouflage for a photographer, dontcha think?
I like the photo, it's good, but all that green looks like a big wave over that poor bench, I would definitely not sit there! :)
It makes for a great picture, but I would definitely not sit there! Snakes come to mind, among other things.
No, I would not sit there either. Not after seeing that gator you posted the other day. someone should move that bench to a more defensible spot.
Better to keep an eye on the "jungle". ;-)
I would really like to have this bench of yours as a guest in aBoB!
I think I'd pass on a sitdown there. And I agree that it looks like the spot could use a little grooming. In addition to alligator jaws I'd consider falling palm fronds a hazard, too.
You have sharp eyes. I might not have seen that bench. And I am pretty sure I would walk on past.
Amazing 'bunch' of Palm Trees!
