Those pictures look like the oak trees I had taken down in my yard last summer! I hated to have to do it, but they were old and threatening my house.

That is a common sight here since the big ice storm at Christmas. Always sad to see.

I think perhaps it is easier to split the photo than to split all that wood. If it is green wood you could split it and build your own furniture.
