When I left the grocery store, she was sitting in a chair by the door, bent over, her face white with concern, as people stood around trying their best to give comfort in her discomfort. Then came the EMTs to carefully put her on a stretcher and carry her to the nearest hospital.
I hope that she has recovered fully and is back grocery shopping.

I hope all's well for her then.
I remember a year ago watching a man collapse to the floor in a store close to me, like a ton of bricks, having a coronary. A number of people and I were with him trying to keep him going, and though it took only a couple of minutes for the first medic to arrive, it felt a lot longer.
How thankful we all should be for these incredible medical teams! I do hope she recovers soon! Take care, Lowell!
Oh, Lowell, I pray that she is okay and had just fainted maybe from the heat! She must have been terrified.
Hopefully it was nothing serious.
I hope she is ok too and that she won't have to pay a huge bill for the ambulance trip.
I also hope she has recovered. Yes at one time I relied on the EMT's to help out at my house. Always friendly and concerned but they made one feel safe. MB
Yes. Utmost respect.
Never a nice sight, hope she makes a full and speedy recovery.
These frontline workers have brought more people back from the dead than faith healers.
Having had EMS (Emergency Medical Services here in Ontario) paramedics come in the middle of the night last March for my husband, I have enormous respect for what they do and for how quickly they respond.
Me Too! I had to use these services once about 4 years ago and I was impressed at how professional and comforting they were.
Oh I hope so too Lowell, the ambulance men/women do such a wonderful job.
I agree!
Always wonder how they do, what they do, what they see...
It may happens, glad she recovered!
Thank goodness for those EMT's! Hope she is ok. I have seen this happen in the grocery many times before.
This seems to be uncomfortably common these days in Florida. I guess it is the phase of lives we are in.
Though it's by no means over, there's always a sigh of relief when the EMTs arrive, bless 'em.
