Nice shots of the show ring and the horses in it. Yes, Mrs. Arlington was a special horse. She was unusual in having near perfect conformation, a great trait in the show ring. I only showed her once and got a ribbon to prove it.
Nice shots, Lowell! My favorite image is the third one. Photographing people, animals, and other things at an event looks fun. You made me feel encouraged to go out to an event.

That last shot, especially, is a winner!
That mud looks slick and messy. Not an ideal spot for those gorgeous horses or fancy French saddles.
I wonder what the dogs think of those horses. "What's with the very big doggies eating carrots?"
I bet there is a lot of money around at this event, Lowell!
Love the Corgis.

Must be a very global and popular event, isn't that the Queen (albeit in disguise) with her corgis in your third shot? ;-)
a great competition
A very good reportage, I would really like to shoot some pictures at an event like this!
... and the HITS just keep on coming! Great ad for local radio.
Love the smell and sound of incense being dispensed. Strong memory.

Wonderful series, Lowell, and I love the Welsh Corgis. :)
Very nice shots. It's fun to hang around an event like that one. So many photo ops!
Beautiful shots especially that last one. I would think that mud might make the course a bit risky.
Reportage fabuleux !
It's on again. How cool. Keep us posted.

Being a horse lover, I do love these for the day!!
Love that dog looking a bit bored. :) So often they don't appreciate the same things we humans do.
That mud would really scare me!
