...this is about 1/4 mile from our house. I don't know why it's posted. No hunting or fishing is allowed, even though there isn't a lake in sight and the only animals are raccoons and coyotes. Well, maybe a black bear or two.

It's an enigma. I'd jump the fence and hike up the road just to see what there is to see but in Florida one can get shot dead for trespassing.

What it means is "MY property! You keep yourself out of here!" (And if you do and something stupid happens I'm not responsible because I posted this sign and you're supposed to be smart enough to read it. My lawyer says so!)

It sometimes seems in Florida one can get shot just for looking twice at someone else, or crossing the street.

Best not to tempt fate.

Then takes no risks.

Well, do be careful, Lowell!! I'm sure whatever they have there isn't worth the risk!! Great shot though, does say it all!!!

Same thing could happen in Arizona.

I think my critter posted today is some kind of prairie dog.

I know it's tempting, but I don't want you to get shot. I'm sure Lois Anne would agree with me!

Avoid this place at all costs, Lowell!

Put distance between the sign and the barbed wire, Lowell, or you might get tangled up with something unsavory.

I agree with Kate.

These "Keep Out" signs always makes wonder what there is to see. I would NOT jump that fence. Curiosity killed the cat.
BTW, I provided a long answer on my blog about the uses of soybean oil. I forgot to mention that it is also an ingredient in plastic, and we live in a plastic age.

Definitely prudent to stay on the right side of the fence I think!

Do not be intimidated by a poster... :-)
But, if in Florida one can get shot dead for trespassing... then stay away, Lowell !
Here you would at most be filmed by a video camera or bitten by a dog.

What you can imagine is probably more exciting than what is actually there, anyway, Lowell!

Same thing could happen here! I think there might be more guns than people in this whacky red state. (There are certainly more guns than brains.)

If you know something more about this mysterious sign, please let us know...

How about some illicit marijuana farmers?????

Well, considering that I agree with William, I think you might perhaps make a sign, put it up right there and wait for the reply...

Be careful out there!

Seems a bit severe to kill someone who trespasses!
