Afternoon storm

This is a typical afternoon storm rolling into our area, formed by the collision of hot air with cooler air, usually from the Gulf of Mexico.

Makes for a dramatic sky! We could use a bit of rain right now.

Have experienced Florida thunder storms. They are like no other in my book.

That is a very dramatic looking sky. If it were in Illinois, I'd say it looks like tornado weather. If it were here in Arizona, there would be a dust storm coming soon.

I don't mind those Florida showers. They're usually gone as quick as you can get your umbrella out. It's been raining quite a lot here though - and it's COLD!

Super sky...plenty of drama ready to unfold, I expect.

I'm thinking you need the rain to cool things down" Ah, snow and ice - beautiful snow and ice. :))

Very dramatic shot! I think I'd want to go home, lie down, and pull a pillow over my head.

Yep! We had a doozy of a lightening storm yesterday evening -- and rain all night. Beautiful sunshine this morning .... something I still can't get used to. (In Oregon rain usually means light steady drip drip for days... and gray the next morning if it isn't still raining.)

Yup. Lots of skies like this in the summer in Florida.

Nice shot with dramatic sky and raindrops. Recently we have more storms caused by the collision of warm and cold air in the very limited area. Be safe, and have happy summer ahead, Lowell.
