I came across this photo the other day. I do not remember when or where I took it. It was one leaf, a bright red one, hanging on despite being surrounded by barren desolation. Maybe there's a moral in this somewhere.
Have you ever read O. Henry's short story, The Last Leaf. As an adolescent I loved O.Henry and remember this story quite vividly. Read it if you haven't!

Wonderful image, great caption!
O Henry "The Last Leaf". I'm not usually a short-story fan at all. But I liked his enough to actually remember them. After many years!

Well, I haven't read "The Last Leaf" but I do seem to be humming "I Gotta Be Me!"
Wow, nice shot.
Beautiful Lowell!
Perfect capture. The surroundings add a lot to the image.
That's one defiant leaf!
Such a pretty red amongst the greys and blue!
Pissah!
An old autumn leaf right next to a new bud, ah nature is grand!
P.s. I didn't mean to scare you with my post today :)
That's lovely, Lowell!
I don't know about a moral... but I like the color.
The colour stands out beautifully, Lowell!
