Leaving the nest...

There were two baby cardinals in the nest just outside our office window. Then they were gone. One of them showed up perched precariously on the branches of the bush while Papa Cardinal kept careful watch. That was yesterday. Today, they have left the area.

William stole my thunder...and my comment. But it's still true: they're gone before you know it.

Cardinals brighten up any area where they decide to land. Lucky you to have spotted them.

I haven’t seen cardinals in person. I imagine cardinals will brighten up especially the pale wintry landscape. The baby is so cute.
