I hadn't intended to post this originally, but it was a misty night in Ocala, and the moon was shrouded in light, foggy clouds...so out came the camera and this was the result.
That is a fabulous photo, Jacob! What kind of camera did you use to shoot it? It's beautiful. My camera couldn't capture it that way. And thanks for deciding to share it with the rest of us after all!

@ Joy - Any camera will do, so long as it has a manual setting and a long lens...You simply set the shutter speed at 250, the aperture anywhere between f11 and f16. I used a 300 mm lens, and you need of course a tripod. Make sure you focus directly on the moon...
Boy.. I'm a real dunce! If you had asked me what this was I wouln't have guessed the moon! The fog gave it such a neat effect that I thought that it was looking into a pipe of some sort at first!

Very cool. I am always fasinated by the moon photo possibilites but mine wouldn't have turned out quite as good. Very nice.

Great shot. Full moon yesterday, but still cloudy here. I have to wait again to try your method...

It's stunning Jacob! I spent the last few days in a hotel on the ocean in Jacksonville Beach and the moon was gorgeous.
