We were watching this squirrel tear up and down a palm tree about 10 feet from our back deck...so I went to get my camera...as I walked to the edge of the deck he was on his way down the tree but stopped and looked at me and then posed while I took his picture.
Squirrels are nuts!

Till then, I'll be hanging out in Washington state & dreaming of Ocala.
>^..^<
Almost as if he's flexing his muscles for the camera. What a ham!
I think your squirrel is about making a film
superbe photo, bravo pour le réflexe et tu as un super top modèle ;).
superb photograph, bravo for the reflex and you have a great top model ;).
Squirrels on palm trees, this sounds so strange. Great shot, with a bit of luck!
Superb!!! Quite a camera-friendly squirrel. Must be happy to have modelled while you took the shot! I've tried picturign squirrels before but had to always hide so that they don't run away... Tell you, squirrels here in Mumbai are very shy!!
LOL! It's just awesome. This little guy poses perfectly. Squirrels are so cheeky.
What a great pic... really like it.... very clever and different angle...
They are funny creatures those crazy squirrels. I don;t really have any where I live now.... but in the house I had in uptown? They were everywhere.
There would be the daily battles between the grey squirrels and the red squirrels.... and even would have joust festivals when they would square off on the fences.
They were fun and very interactive creatures.
Nice shot. It's neat the way he almost seems to be smiling for the camera.
Perfect 'squirrel view' -- even though he was a bit of a bad squirrel. Enjoyed my visit to see you photos.
Happy Friday!
LOL .. they are indeed .. I hope you rewarded his performance
I totally agree about them being nuts. I have so many squirrels in my backyard and they have become quite daring lately because I finally found a bird feeder that they can't raid. I really enjoy watching them though, because they get so frustrated!
@ Lois...We too got a new bird feeder with a big plastic thingy on top...when the squirrel jumps on it, it flips the squirrel to the ground. That is fun to watch.
Have a great day!
"squirrels are nuts!"
Ouch!
Lovely!
Your city is rich in nature.
Hilarious! You obviously caught him in the act of doing something naughty. That's what his face looks like.
That is some pose. Madonna would be impressed. LOL! Extra cute photo!
ROFLMBO! Hilarious!
So crazy! Squirrels really lend themselves to photos...I was parked at a curb one time and one cautiously descended a tree next to the sidewalk. He looked around to make sure it was safe, and then stretched out to cool his belly on the bricks in the shade of the tree, acting as a border around the base if its trunk. I couldn't pass it up, so I grabbed my camera (which is always with me), turned it on, and was about to push the button when a girl walked by and scared the little guy off. It was quite a disappointment.
This was a great catch!
I'm amazed at his tail flush with the tree...and the "Take my photo" look. Great capture.
This is just great! :-)
Well,it is obvious the inspiration for Chip and Dale.
Squirrels are nuts!
Squirrels eat nuts...
Therefore squirrels eat squirrels?
Oops...
Cezar
Just catching up on a couple of weeks worth of blog posts after returning from a long trip across country. Yours are great as usual! I love this one. What a capture!
Thanks, Jarat. Welcome back! Hope you had a wonderful trip!
Very funny, Cezar! No...silly. Did you miss that logic class in college? You are what you eat! Therefore, squirrels, being consumers of nuts are by definition nuts!
The moral of this tale is be careful of what YOU eat!
Welcome home, my friend!
... and defy gravity to boot.
Hehe this is super! Excellent capture! She really pose for you:)
